2018 is My Family’s 10th Anniversary of Hosting Couchsurfers from Around the World

Hello CSers,

We are greeting to you from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to say we already have 10 wonderful years of Couchsurfing behind us.

In the last 10 years we hosted more than 500 travelers from 50 countries. We host in order to share our Mongolian lifestyle and to get to know the civilization of the people who come to stay with us. I will always remember that day when I learned about the “connecting travelers with locals” website. It was July 8, 2008 when I learned about Couchsurfing by meeting my American friend Andrew Judkins.

My Couchsurfers have always been happy to meet my family. They happily joined my daily life– bringing water, feeding cows, cooking together, playing games, teaching music, dancing and sharing stories.

Now we have 7 guestbooks from Couchsurfers. These books include local tips and lots of helpful information about traveling the world. It was started by my 4th guests–  2 French friends, David and Aude-so.

2018 marks our 10th year of hosting, and our first guests of the year were Pere from Spain and Tim from France. They happily lived with and entertained my family from the 8th to 12th of January, 2018. We cooked and ate healthy food, went sledding on the fresh snow and played basketball. We are very grateful for their warmth and attention to my family, and for contributing by cooking and by helping with the household chores.

This lifestyle of meeting new people through Couchsurfing is such a great way to make a happy and lucky life. Me and my wife would love to keep up the habit of a long, healthy life by hosting and being guests.

Couchurfing can change the world by inspiring people to live more healthily and with a positive mind!
