Why am I seeing an error message or ‘Site Maintenance’ page?
We are always making updates and upgrades to the Couchsurfing website and Mobile App to keep it running stably for all Couchsurfers. During certain upgrades it is possible that you may experience short periods in which the platform is unavailable or you may experience some errors while we complete the maintenance. This is nothing to worry about and generally lasts less than 15 minutes.
If you get an error message when trying to access your profile or complete an action, refresh the page. If the error remains, wait about 15 minutes (as most updates are completed within this time frame) and try again. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to support at support@couchsurfing.com so they can look into the issue further.
