48 Hours in Oslo with Back To Social

Is your country considered friendly? Warm? Outgoing? Or do you have a reputation for being cold, closed and hard to get to know? These are exactly the kinds of stereotypes that Back To Social want to challenge about their home country of Norway.

We want to inspire the Norwegian people to leave their comfort zones more often and show how these experiences can lead to new friendships, opportunities and magical moments.

How it works: The Back To Social team will choose a host (from the streets of Oslo, with NO Couchsurfing experience!) and they, along with their Couchsurfer will enjoy 48 hours together in Oslo with a custom made itinerary full of unique and interesting local activities. Oh, and the entire experience will be filmed! The host will have no idea who you are, but will be hand selected to make sure they are a great fit for your stay. The episode will mainly focus on the host being pushed outside their comfort zone, and they will not have any previous Couchsurfing experience.

How to apply: Send a video to the Back To Social team (backtosocial.media@gmail.com ) with:
– A bit about yourself
– About your previous Couchsurfing experience
– Why you want to be a part of this YouTube project
– If you are, or can be, in Oslo between April 29 – May 13 for at least 48 hours.*

*Travel to/from Oslo not included.

Check out their profile here for more information or get in touch with the team.
