Hey everyone. I’m Maca, a 23 year old journalist. I born and live in Antofagasta, a city in the north of Chile.
When I started to live on my own I decided to use this app to host people. I’ve always been curious about other cultures and I hate the routine so… My first surfer was a German (the guy with me in the picture). The next one was French and after that I can’t remember the order of the next people who visited my place!
I’ve had wonderful experiences! I’ve met incredible people. I’m pretty sure that most of the people using this app share the same spirit of freedom and love. I feel this almost every time that I have the opportunity to host or surf.
I’m glad to have the knowledge that most of us here have wanderlust because of our desire and impulse to get out of our comfort zone by traveling, and not just like a tourist. We have the talent to adapt ourselves to the local lifestyle and we enjoy it, don’t we?
We love learning and discovering new things. Couchsurfing is an amazing network of people with similar interests and it’s amazing. We help each other, we’re friends, we’re family. I’m so glad to know this truth. This means a lot to me and makes me grateful.
Guys, I just want to wish you all the best on your adventures wherever you go! Travel as much as you can and meet all the lovely people on your way. Money can’t buy this! Good luck!
